Programmers’ Notes

If any of you are viewing the website on an iPad you will be aware of the iPad scrolling which ends with an irritating bounce over the plain background when you come to the top or bottom of a page. (Try swiping this page up and down). Many programmers have been struggling to influence this and I’ve at last succeeded in finding a solution. If you look at the Before and After pages, I think you’ll agree that stopping the page bouncing around does help in reading the table.

BEFORE in a new tab

AFTER in a new tab

Just X out of each of the tabs to return to this page. Credit for this workaround goes to Tim Bartsch at https://github.com/timbartsch/no-bounce accessed September 2015.
