How to start

. First choose a puzzle. The aim is to restore the coloured rings so click or tap on one of the arrows to turn that disc in the direction of the arrow. The ingenious twist (excuse the pun) is that sometimes a section of the puzzle does not form a circle and so is locked!
Note:

Keep the shield-shaped piece in one of the centre four positions to keep the rings turning. This puzzle was invented in France in 1977 by an artist, Raoul Henriques-Raba, and the plastic mechanism for this particular layout was patented in France in 1979. Raoul named it ‘Taquinoscope’ and it was later marketed as ‘Rotascope’

Puzzles 1,2,3 number 1 can be solved in 24 moves, 2 in 48 moves and 3 is the hardest, a random puzzle setup which may take over 100 moves to solve.
