The plaque on the outside wall of the churchyard gives the names of 60 men who went to fight in the first World War. Only 26 men are recorded as living in Bosbury on the 1911 census. Each of these is marked with a blue asterisk:

The plaque states that the first to die in action was Alan Buchanan on June 18th 1915. However Ernest Ballard and Arthur John Palmer died before him.
Jmaes Fletcher is included but his brother Percy Valentine Fletcher, who served in the Shropshire Light Infantry, is omitted.

There is a CWGC headstone in the graveyard. The man is not recorded as living in Bosbury on the 1911 census.
